"They going Travis Hunter fasho": NFL fans speculate after Titans' Chad Brinker makes eye-popping NFL draft comment

NFL fans shared their thoughts on Tennessee Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker's outline of what the team is looking for in the 2025 NFL draft. After the New York Giants and New England Patriots fumbled the No. 1 overall pick, the Titans secured the selection, getting in line to select a potentially franchise-altering player.

Brinker made a comment about what the team will do in the upcoming draft, dropping the word "generational."

"We won't pass on a generational talent with 1st pick in the NFL Draft," Brinker said, per "Bussin' with the Boys."

This remark sparked a lot of speculation, with plenty of fans saying he was talking about Travis Hunter, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

"They going Travis Hunter fasho. He the only generational talent in draft. P.S. I hope Shadeur falls to the raiders 🙏🏽," one fan wrote.
"LOL they’re gonna take Travis hunter and struggle again get first pick and take Archie manning," another fan said.
"This sounds like Travis Hunter not a QB in this draft for sure," one fan chimed in.

Others were against the idea that the Titans would even consider Shedeur Sanders, adding that he's not a generational talent like his Colorado Buffaloes teammate.

"Are they not talking about T. Hunter? Sanders is a great qb but a “generational talent”? Idk," one fan speculated.
"Who is the clown that thinks Shedeur is a generational talent? The sure fire generational talent at draft day was Andrew Luck in 2012. Before that it was Peyton in 98. Shedeur is not in this category," another fan wrote.
"Nah Shadeur is going to Giants or Raiders... top 2 will be Titans- Hunter Browns- Ward," a fan posted.

Is Travis Hunter the right pick for the Tennessee Titans?

This is a complex question considering that success in the NFL lies on quarterbacks. Sometimes, other players maximize what quarterbacks can do, which could be the case with Travis Hunter. He played as a cornerback and wide receiver with the Buffaloes, making history and securing the most important trophy in college football.

It remains to be seen which position he'll play in the NFL, but if it's offense, the Titans would still need to bring in a quarterback to improve what Will Levis and Mason Rudolph brought to the table.

If it's Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, Brian Callahan could work with them the way he worked with Joe Burrow in Cincinnati and develop them into a good quarterback. Then again, a player like Hunter can impact the game on both ends of the field and the Titans should go for him.
