“This world is f**ked”: Kelly Stafford lashes out at questions over response to Harrison Butker’s commencement speech

Kansas City Chiefs star Harrison Butker has been in the spotlight for his commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas City. Kelly Stafford, married to LA Rams quarterback Matthew, joined a string of women commenting against his views.

Kelly made a strong statement on Instagram, stating that one must start by 'supporting and encouraging women and men in whatever roles they choose."

"Building men up and not tearing them down is important. Building women up and not tearing them down is important," Kelly wrote after Harrison Butker's speech.
"Everyone has a choice of what they want his/her life to look like..it's not up to anyone else or society. The more society tells women where they belong, the more imposter syndrome starts to creep in, that they don't belong because that's what society is telling them."

Adding that she 'thrives' at home as a homemaker, Kelly said that it's not 'every woman's story nor should it have to be.'

"Some women choose not to stay home and some women don't have the luxury to choose," she added. "We all might not agree on everything, but I think we all want the same end goal, a better world for our kids".

However, Kelly seemed upset over the responses made and questions asked after her statement.

"People are all up in arms about me saying that women should have the right to choose (if they even have the luxury of a choice) what they wanna do and that we should support men and women in whatever roles they decide is best for them..."Wow this world really is f*ed," she wrote in her story.

Isaac Rochell's wife, Allison Kuch, took a stand after Harrison Butker's speech

Apart from Kelly Stafford, Allison Kuch also spoke up after Harrison Butker's speech.

Going on a rant on TikTok, Kuch said she's worked her ass off to chase her dreams and become successful. She loves her husband but is also more than just an NFL wife.

“I’m not just somebody’s wife, don’t get me wrong. I love my husband. I love being his wife. I am just not an NFL wife. That shouldn’t be what my entire life succumbs to,” she said.
"Can you imagine sitting at your college graduation after working your ass off for four years and someone telling you that none of that really mattered? Because the best thing is going to be a homemaker".

Others like Whoopi Goldberg and Chiefs owner Clark Hunt's wife, Tavia, have also responded to Butker's comments.

Furthermore, NFL's Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Jonathan Beane, also made a statement, adding that the league does not advocate Butker's words.
