“Those quarterbacks looked like Brett Favre” – Jerry Jones delivers a damning indictment of Dallas Cowboys after close shave vs Texans

The Dallas Cowboys escaped with a narrow 27-23 win against the Houston Texans in Week 14. They came into the game as double-digit favorites but the Texans gave them a run for their money.

The Texans played with both Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel at the quarterback position, and the Cowboys' defense found it difficult to contain them.

After the win over the Texans, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke highly of the quarterback duo of the Houston Texans. He said this about Mills and Driskel:

“Those quarterbacks looked like Brett Favre. Both of them.”

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott started the game slowly but got into a rhythm late on and led the team to a win over their rivals. In the game against the Texans, Dak Prescott completed 24/39 of his throws for 284 yards and a touchdown.

He also had two interceptions in the game, which gave the Texans momentum to build over the Cowboys. For Houston, Davis Mills threw for 165 yards and an interception, while Jeff Driskel threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. Driskel rushed for 36 yards as well. The Texans are expected to continue with their two-quarterback game plan going forward.

"The Texans are maintaining their two-quarterback system heading into Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs."

Both Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel played 33 snaps each in Week 14.

Dallas Cowboys will face the Jacksonville Jaguars up next

In Week 15, the Dallas Cowboys will be up against another team from the AFC South. After escaping with a win against the Texans, the Cowboys will need to be at their best against a solid Jacksonville Jaguars team.

Trevor Lawrence is playing like the quarterback he was expected to be coming out of college, and he can cause serious trouble to the Dallas defense. The Jaguars are still pushing for the playoffs and are more motivated heading into this fixture.

Trevor Lawrence since Week 9:

🔹 1,362 passing yards
🔹 10 TDs (0 INTs)
🔹 71.8% completion percentage (1st)
🔹 111.7 passer rating (2nd) https://t.co/3klvWpiM2C

The Dallas Cowboys defense looked less motivated to face the Texans, and fans will hope that Micah Parsons and Co. will bring their A-game against the Jaguars.

After their game against the Jaguars, the Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles. It is the most-awaited game of the regular season, as it will provide a litmus test for both teams.

Micah Parsons isn’t quite sure if Jalen Hurts should be in the MVP race?

The Eagles have the best record in the NFL, with Jalen Hurts being the MVP frontrunner, but if the Dallas Cowboys are able to defeat them on Christmas Eve, it would be a statement win for them. But before that, they have to deal with Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
