Tom Brady already taking notes on Cowboys vs Browns weather report ahead of embarking on $375,000,000 media career with Fox
Tom Brady played in the NFL for 23 seasons for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his two-plus decades of football, Brady has seen plenty of success, winning seven Super Bowls, three MVPs, and being named to 15 Pro Bowls in his career.
Brady retired after the 2022 season, when he and the Buccaneers finished 8-9 and lost in the divisional round of the playoffs. Brady had an idea of what his post-retirement life would be, and prior to making the official retirement announcement, he inked a lucrative 10-year, $375 million deal to become a color commentator for Fox Sports.
This Sunday, Brady will make his broadcasting debut. He will call the Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns game at 4:25 p.m. EDT this Sunday. Brady will join Kevin Burkhardt in the booth, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi on the sidelines. Brady joined Colin Cowherd on the "Herd with Colin Cowherd" podcast and spoke about his upcoming broadcasting debut. Brady took notes that this Sunday's weather forecast for the game is perfect football weather:
"It’s a perfect day for football. It’s going to be in Cleveland. 65 degrees and partly cloudy is perfect football weather.”
Tom Brady talks to Colin Cowherd about the Dallas Cowboys-Cleveland Browns matchup
Ahead of his first NFL game in the booth, Tom Brady and Colin Cowherd spoke about the matchup between Dallas and Cleveland.
Brady spoke about Cleveland having one of the best defenses last year and how the team is hoping to have a similar defense this year. He also spoke about the changes the team made to help get quarterback Deshaun Watson back to top-QB status.
"Cleveland's defense was at the top of the league last year. They want to continue that. They want to get Deshaun back. They brought in a whole offensive staff to try to get him to play the way that he played when he was in Houston, and they want to go out there and compete. It's a great to test for the to go against Dallas who is trying to get over the hump as well."
Brady then spoke about the offseason Dallas had, including the distractions of trying to sign CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott to extensions while also trying to adjust for the running back situation. He also talked about how he looks forward to seeing cornerback Trevon Diggs back on the field and wonders how Prescott will do after last year's career-high performance.
"They've [Dallas] got great talent. They have a great leader in coach McCarthy that preaches, 'hey, we want to stay focused, day after day, we want to eliminate the distractions.' I feel like Dallas has handled it very well and this is a great opening game. This is what it's all about. A lot of guys are coming back from injury."
Currently, the Browns are -2.5 point home favorites against Dallas.
