Tom Brady, Bill Belichick unite in common criticism of Browns' Week 1 loss to Cowboys

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are back, the former coach and QB duo partnering up for a podcast. While Brady and Belichick are trying their hands at broadcasting this season, albeit at different levels, both have one thing in common, their dislike of the Browns’ strategy in their season opener.

On Tuesday, Tom Brady returned to the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast. The former QB hosted it for two years before leaving earlier this year. The podcast has two new hosts, his former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and the Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby.

On the podcast, Belichick was asked to review Brady’s performance on the mic. In doing so, the 72-year-old also picked his bone with the Cleveland Browns losing 17-33 to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.

It was Brady’s debut broadcast as well. Belichick highlighted that he has “loved” Brady’s performance thus far in his new career, including his debut, and concurred with his on-air analysis.

“I saw a lot of that Dallas-Cleveland game,” said Belichick (03:34). “I thought Tom’s (broadcasting) turned out a lot better than mine did. He kept saying something that we’ve always talked about for Cleveland – you can’t keep going backwards. In that game, they were in a lot of long-yardage situations on second and third-down from penalties and negative plays.
“That’s one thing Tom and I always talked about in every game is keep moving the ball forward, stay out of negative plays; don’t turn the ball over. Eventually, we’ll get there. But when you go in the wrong direction, Cleveland did that the whole game.”

Meanwhile, the Browns also tweaked their strategy, which led them to a win (18-13) over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.

Which game will Tom Brady call in Week 3?

For his first two games, Tom Brady has called a game from Ohio and Dallas. However, as per the reports, the 15-time Pro Bowler might have to stay in Dallas for one more week. After covering the Cowboys for his first two assignments, Brady is in line for their third game as well.

As per the El Paso Times, Brady will be in the booth with Kevin Burkhardt to call the Baltimore Ravens at the Dallas Cowboys game. The game will be played on Sept. 22, with kick-off scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CDT at the AT&T Stadium.
