NFL analyst sympathizes with Tom Brady’s painful divorce with Gisele Bundchen

Tom Brady's divorce with Gisele Bundchen is the latest in a long list of decisions that have dotted the quarterback's life in 2022. One NFL analyst offered his sympathy for the challenging situation the quarterback currently finds himself in.

On Pro Football Talk, Chris Simms explained that life is tough for everyone, even someone as successful as No. 12. Here's how he put it:

"I feel bad for him. I do. This is an incredibly tough spot, and I know how much he loves his football ... I think he's a good guy who does love his family and I think he's stuck in a spot where it seems like he wanted to keep playing football and obviously his ex-wife was not happy with that, but he wanted to continue to follow his passion."

He continued, spotlighting the fact that he's never seen the quarterback in his current state:

"You always sympathize with a guy like that. You do, you know? And so that's where I do feel for him. And this is tough. I've never seen him like this… This is a tough spot. I know he's got it all in life, but man, life can be hard even when you're a superstar."

Tom Brady has had a tumultuous time both on and off the field. After announcing his retirement during the offseason, the quarterback decided to return for one more season and showed up in August for training camp.

.@TomBrady has gained 101,088 total yards in his career, making him the first player in NFL history to go over the 100,000 mark.

He has 99,836 yards passing and 1,252 yards rushing in the regular season+playoffs. https://t.co/e3Ti6QUozC

In August of 2021, the quarterback was preparing to defend his 2020 Super Bowl title just like any other year. However, in August 2022, Brady had signed a new mega-contract with FOX, had skipped training camp for 11 days and had to deal with marital problems that grew larger by the day.

Now a divorce with his wife has sent him spiralling.

On the field, Tom Brady is in danger of suffering an early end to the season, with the Bucs holding a 3-5 record. Could a losing streak over the next few weeks be the last meaningful stretch of games in his career? Or will he be able to bounce back and lead Tampa Bay into the playoffs? Only time will tell.
