Tom Brady focuses on being a good dad with important message for kids

The weekly episodes of the "Let's Go" podcast allow NFL fans to get a glimpse of Tom Brady off the football field. Even now that his season is over, fans are getting his perspective on the NFL playoffs, the upcoming Super Bowl and even his family.

The seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback has three children: sons Jack and Benjamin and daughter Vivian. Tom Brady spoke about the advice that he gives his children all the time. He said that he doesn't care if they win or lose, as long as they try their best. Brady said that he tells his three children all the time that if they do their best, it doesn't matter what the outcome is.

Brady joked, though, that if his children don't do their best and give it their all, then they are going to have a conversation afterwards:

"I tell my kids this all the time. I don't care what happens. Just do your best. And if you do your best, it's all going to be okay. Now if you don't do your best, we're gonna have a talk. But it ain't about the outcome. It's about the process. And if you're always focused on wins and losses, why don't we think about the process of winning and losing?
"The process of being successful and trying to accomplish things that we set out for. We all have an important job, you know, and the important job is to bring people together."

Tom Brady went on to say that the entire process of reaching success is important. And that everyone has an important role in bringing everyone together. But focusing on the amount of wins and losses isn't important.

Did QB Tom Brady say that he wants his kids to fail?

Tom Brady has said that he wants his three children to work hard and find success no matter what they are doing. But last week, he shocked many by saying that he wants his children to fail. While this may seem like a harsh statement from the father of three, he had his reasoning.

Tom Brady said that he told his children that he does want them to fail because when a person fails, it's a learning experience and something that makes them more motivated. He said that when someone fails, it shows what they are truly made of:

"I don't want it to go right for my kids all the time. I told them that this morning. I said, 'I want you guys to fail because I want to see what you're made of if you fail and when you fail.'"

He went on to say that going to school and playing sports are ways that children can learn resilience from not getting things right the first time. He said that life is not always easy and learning those lessons at a young age can help later in life.
