Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's fishy divorce proceedings: "The way the judge handled this case is unprecedented"
After months of speculation and rumors, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's divorce was finalized in less than one business day. Last Friday, Brady finally addressed the rumors just hours after Bundchen had filed for divorce at a south Florida courthouse.
Shortly after, their divorce was finalized, which has many questioning how that happened so quickly.
According to the Daily Mail, after a person files for divorce, there is typically a 20-day waiting period before the judge makes the decision to declare the marriage as over. For Bundchen and Brady, this took just 33 minutes.
Glades County Administrative Judge Jack Lundy, who presided over the case, gave the couple a quick divorce.

According to Michael Barfield, the director of public access for the Florida Center for Government Accountability, two things could be said for the reasoning behind this quick solution.
One, that the judge was 'starstruck' since it was such a high-profile case. The second being that the case was already co-ordinated before the official filing was made. So, it just became a legal formality.
"(Being starstruck) is likely the explanation for this. The way the judge handled this case is unprecedented. It seems that the judge and the lawyers coordinated things to happen in advance of the divorce filing while the right to know is the basis of the court system."
The pre-nuptial agreement that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady had was likely the reason as to why all of the decisions were made before heading to court. It appears that both wanted the divorce to be finalized quickly, without any consequences for their family.
Tom Brady to focus on his kids and football
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady spoke about his highly publicized divorce for the first time this week. On his weekly podcast, Let's Go, co-host Jim Gray asked the 45-year-old quarterback whether his personal life had impacted his play on the field.

He said that it was an amicable situation between him and Bundchen. Brady also said that he is now focused on taking care of his children and trying to win football games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"Obviously the good news is it's a very amicable situation and I'm really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children and, secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games."
He went on to say that it was easy for him to separate his personal and professional life and take care of the task at hand.
However, for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, it is becoming a tall task. The Bucs are 3-5 heading into Week 9. The seven-time Super Bowl winner has now lost three straight games for the first time in 20 years.
