Tom Brady and Gisele's prenup was 'ironclad'
When Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen got together, it was a big event. The couple married in 2009, staying together for 13 years. However, as the 2022-23 NFL season continues, Brady and Bundchen announced their separation.
Despite attempts to make amends, the couple decided to call it quits.
Sometimes, though, celebrity divorces can stretch on for a long time. Tom Brady and Gisele being worth around $400 million instantly made this a high-profile divorce. However, as per reports, their 'ironclad' prenup fast-tracked the process.
A source said:
“There was an ironclad prenup set down before they married in 2009. They both have their own separate business entities, so the separation of their wealth wasn’t that complicated in the end. The only other major factor was dividing up their massive property portfolio."
Reports further stated that Brady will probably keep the $17 million mansion in Miami. The Creek Island bunker is still under construction and was to be his home while he played for the Bucs. The original property was bought and demolished in 2020.
Bundchen will keep their house in Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Furthermore, she has purchased a smaller house in Miami Beach. The three-bedroom property could be her office, while the supermodel lives in a larger residence elsewhere.
Brady and Bundchen will also be sharing joint custody of their children.
Tom Brady will always prioritize football and his children
While Brady has confirmed his divorce, he is yet to open up about the reasons behind the same. Reports and experts blamed Brady's decision to unretire, which caused a rift between him and his wife.
During his recent podcast appearance, Tom Brady revisited his priorities:
"I'm really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games."
He added that as a professional, he focuses on work when he has to, but when he is home, he prioritizes his family and life.
"All you can do is the best you could do. And that's what I'll just continue to do as long as I'm working, as long as I'm being a dad."
Bundchen and Brady posted a statement confirming their separation on social media. They accepted that while it was a difficult decision to make, it was amicable. Fans sent in their support, also hoping for their individual growth.
