Tom Brady left dumbfounded over 24-TD MVP contender's sensational Week 10 performance - "How do you stop this guy?"
Even though he has retired from playing, Tom Brady remains extremely involved with the NFL. In 2024, he started his 10-year deal with FOX as a play-by-play analyst, but he's also involved on the business side of the league as a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady's commitment to FOX allows him to analyze multiple aspects of the league, not only restricted to the New England Patriots. He has also been part of a weekly video on FOX's YouTube, where he picks three stars of the week. This time around, Brady was amazed at Lamar Jackson's performance.
"How do you stop this guy, and how do you stop this Ravens high-powered offense? This was the third time this year [that] Lamar has come in as one of my stars of the week. He has delivered yet another MVP-type performance. He threw for a ton of yards, like 290, and threw for four touchdowns. There were no picks.
"This guy had a thrilling Thursday night win over the Bengals. Lamar was on fire in the fourth quarter. He threw three TDs in the fourth quarter and a perfect passer rating. Let's see if Lamar and the Ravens offense can keep rolling when they take on a very tough Steelers defense this week."
Lamar is a clear-cut MVP candidate for the 2024 season. He already has 24 passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns to two interceptions. Baltimore Ravens fans have launched the campaign #MV3 to promote the quarterback to get a third MVP award, following his triumphs in 2019 and 2023.
Lamar Jackson never lost to Tom Brady during his career
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback played against the seven-time Super Bowl champion twice and walked away as the winner both times.
They first played in 2019, when the New England Patriots were still undefeated with an 8-0 record. Lamar had a great game with three touchdowns, and the Ravens won 37-20.
Three years later, with Brady playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the pair met again and Jackson was victorious once more. This time, the Ravens defeated the Buccaneers 27-22, with two passing touchdowns from Lamar.
