Tom Brady has a major flaw as a broadcaster, claims ESPN analyst
FOX is shelling out $75 million per year to have Tom Brady do commentary for them. And they're going to do that for the next 10 years. So, they'll be expecting Brady to draw in the eyeballs (and ears) for them.
However, Don Van Natta, an ESPN analyst, claimed that Brady has a major issue, one that'd be disastrous both for him and people listening to him. He took to X to publicly highlight the same.
"Tom Brady’s problem— and ours— is his voice. No matter how much his commentary might improve, Brady’s delivery system teeters between mildly annoying to nails-on-a-chalkboard."
He isn't giving a pass to Brady's commentary either, but at least he admitted that it could be improved. But his voice? He said it was really annoying to listen to. And Brady can't really change his voice.
He went on to add that Brady's voice sounded bad on its own, but with Kevin Burkhardt as his commentary partner, it's worse. Burkhardt's soothing voice made Brady's seem even worse than it is by comparison, as per Van Natta.
"It doesn’t help he’s paired with Kevin Burkhardt, whose magisterial voice is made for a microphone."
Van Natta also lamented the fact that he would have to listen to it for the next 10 years. Whether his dislike of Brady's voice is shared by fans or not will be found out in due time.
Tom Brady drops his morning workout routine
Tom Brady might not be able to change his voice, but he sure is working hard to ensure he remains in top physical health. The seven-time Super Bowl champion posted a series of pictures on Instagram, showing off his ripped physique.
He had captioned the post:
"Color analysts have to stay in shape too!"
Brady revealed that he is taking his fitness game even further by adding swimming to his workout regime. At 47 years old, Tom Brady is still near his peak physique.
And for those wondering how he manages to stay in shape, he even dropped his morning workout routine. It includes weighted step-ups, resistance band pushups, and box jumps along with other bodyweight exercises.
In the comments section, fans gave props to Brady for taking such good care of his body as he nears 50.
For fans who wanted the 7x Super Bowl winner to return to the NFL as a player, his desire to own a part of the Las Vegas Raiders closes all doors to that possibility. The NFL recently decreed that if Brady becomes a limited owner in the franchise, they would not let him play for the team.
Also, with lucrative media deals on the table, doesn't seem like Brady might want to return to the gridiron.
