Tom Brady makes bold claim about 10-TD star WR in pursuit of Triple Crown - "Nobody can stop this guy"

Tom Brady heaped praise on Ja'Marr Chase as the Bengals receiver chases an elusive Triple Crown in the 2024 NFL season. The wideout has 66 receptions for 981 yards and 10 touchdowns going into Week 11. He is one ahead of Garrett Wilson for the number of catches, has 150 more yards than Justin Jefferson, and is three touchdowns better off than George Kittle and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Tom Brady certainly thinks it is possible. Ja'Marr Chase is coming off of a game where he accumulated 264 yards on 11 receptions, and the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback believes the wide receiver has what it takes to win the Triple Crown. The current Fox analyst said,

"He went off on Thursday night against the Ravens. I'm talking video game-type numbers. He had 264 yards on 11 catches. Nobody can stop this guy. Ja'Marr has been balling out this year. He's going for the receiving Triple Crown."

Tom Brady backs Bengals to get back on track against the Chargers

Tom Brady acknowledged that he did not know it was a thing and did not want to sugarcoat the disappointment the Bengals would have felt losing 35-34 to the Ravens in Week 10. However, the legendary quarterback said he is excited to find out what the player and the team do against the Chargers in their matchup in Week 11 before they go into their bye week.

"I didn't even know that was a thing. But leading the league in catches, yards and receiving touchdowns, that would be it. Unfortunately, was a tough loss. They lost a close one. But they're in LA this week against the Chargers. Let's see if they can get back on track."

Ja'Marr Chase acknowledges that he has made a mental note of the Triple Crown

Ja'Marr Chase acknowledged that he has half an eye on the Triple Crown this season. However, he said that its pursuit is not proving a distraction as he is just focused on his play without worrying about the eventual results.

"I knew it (about him being in pole positio for the Triple Crown). It's something on my Sticky Note. I try not to keep it in my mental. I just try to play."

If Ja'Marr Chase can accomplish that, it will just be the third time this century that a receiver has collected the coveted recognition after Steve Smith Sr. for the Panthers in 2005 and Cooper Kupp for the Rams in 2021.
