Tom Brady makes cryptic reference of ‘betrayal’ after Gisele Bundchen’s tell-all Vanity Fair interview
Tom Brady has taken to social media in the wake of his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's recent tell-all interview. In the interview, she spoke at length about her divorce from the now-retired NFL quarterback.
She admitted that the divorce was painful and that it was "the death of her dream." She revealed a lot of details about it and today, Brady posted a cryptic reference on social media.
Brady posted the popular Ralph Waldo Emerson poem What is Success to his Instagram story:
"To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived -This is to have succeeded."
Many are honing in on the "betrayal of false friends" line. The timing, with Bundchen's tell-all interview coming the day prior, is certainly curious. Perhaps the former Buccaneers and Patriots star is just a fan of good poetry, though.
What did Gisele Bundchen say about Tom Brady?
In her tell-all interview, Gisele Bundchen revealed that her time with Tom Brady had been a dream, one that unfortunately came crashing down last year:
“It’s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know? I believed in fairy tales when I was a kid. I think it’s beautiful to believe in that. I mean, I’m so grateful I did.”
She also spoke about being a stepmother to Brady's son, Jack:
"Jack came into our lives and I felt so blessed, and it kind of awakened in me this desire of being a mom. I've always dreamed of being a mom, but I think that happened a little faster than I thought, because now I have this beautiful little angel that I get to care for and love."
The longtime model was very candid about her relationship with Brady and how things had affected her in the wake of the divorce. Could the former NFL star be upset about her honesty? Or was he actually emphasizing "to earn the approbation of honest critics" to Bundchen?
