"I just watch that team every week" - Tom Brady reveals NFL team he secretly watches

Tom Brady lives and breathes the game of football, even in his 23rd season in the NFL. On the most recent episode of the "Let's Go" podcast, the seven-time Super Bowl quarterback revealed that he does watch one NFL team on a weekly basis.

He revealed that he watches the greatest head coach in NFL history. He admitted to watching Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots every week.

Brady said:

“I just watch that team every week, and I’m impressed with how they prepare and the accountability that that organization has had. It always starts at the top."

The former Patriots quarterback spoke about his time with Belichick in New England. He also noted how close Belichick is to becoming the winningest coach in NFL history.

Brady added:

“Yeah, we had 20 years together of elite football experience that I wouldn’t have traded for anything in the world. I know he’s a great competitor. What an amazing coach he is, and how he prepares the team to win, and he’s just done it year in and year out.
"The fact that he’s 22 wins away from [passing Don Shula for first in all-time NFL head coaching wins], I have no doubt he’s gonna get it.”

The current Patriots head coach and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback were one of the best duos in NFL history. They won a lot together, especially in the postseason.

In 20 seasons together in New England, the duo had a record of 219 - 66, or a .786 winning percentage. The duo had a 30 - 11 record (.732 winning percentage) in the playoffs, including six Super Bowl victories in nine appearances.

Also, they won 17 AFC East Division titles in their time together. The three-time NFL MVP left the Patriots after the 2019-2020 season. There are only two head coach and quarterback duos that can touch Brady and Belichick in division titles in NFL history.

Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys head coach Tom Landry and Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach won eight division titles together. Hall of Fame duo head coach Chuck Noll and quarterback Terry Bradshaw won eight division titles together with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In terms of championships, only two head coach and quarterback duos are equal to that of Brady and Belichick. Hall of Fame head coach Paul Brown and Hall of Fame quarterback Otto Graham won seven championships with the Cleveland Browns. Hall of Famer head coach Vince Lombardi and Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr won seven championships with the Green Bay Packers.

A common theme among the head coaches and quarterbacks mentioned outside of the former Patriots duo is that they're all in the Hall of Fame. When both are done coaching and playing, Brady and Belichick will have their gold jackets ready for them in Canton.
