Tom Brady opens up on divorce from Gisele Bundchen: "I’ve dealt with a lot of challenging situations"
Few in the NFL have had it worse than Tom Brady over the past few months. Aside from dealing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' struggles, the quarterback has seen his marriage to Gisele Bundchen fall apart.
After months of speculation, the couple finally made their split public this past week, as each shared a social media post about their decision. While the couple has asked for privacy regarding the matter, Brady addressed the matter for the first time on the Let's Go! podcast:
"There’s a lot of professionals in life that go through things that they deal with at work and they deal with at home. And obviously, the good news is it’s a very amicable situation and I’m really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children and secondly doing the best job I can to win football games."
Brady made it clear that he wants to focus on his family going forward as the couple look to co-parent their three children:
"So, that’s what professionals do. You focus at work when it’s time to work and then when you come home you focus on the priorities that are at home. All you can do is the best you can do. That’s what I’ll continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m being a dad."
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen were married for 13 years and will share joint custody of their two children, Vivian and Benjamin. The two are still deciding on how to divide their assets and other possessions, but one can be sure of it being a multi-million dollar affair.
Tom Brady volunteers with his kids at food bank following divorce from Gisele Bundchen
While their divorce continued to make headlines throughout the weekend, Brady was spotted at the Port Charlotte Town Center mall with his two kids giving back to the community.
As per reports, the seven-time Super Bowl winner was spotted volunteering for Operation BBQ Relief to help serve hot meals to those in need. His two children, Vivian and Benjamin, were both present as well, helping out their dad.
