"Tom Brady regrets that he's playing right now" - The GOAT wishes he stayed retired, claims former Bucs QB
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' woes deepened in Week 6 after their surprise 20-18 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brady completed 25 of his 40 pass attempts for 243 yards and a touchdown, but couldn't lead the Buccaneers to a win. This was despite the Steelers having to play most of the game with Mitch Trubisky after rookie Kenny Pickett picked up an injury. During the game, Brady was also seen yelling at his offensive line, which received plenty of backlash on social media.
The quarterback missed the Buccaneers' walkthrough on Saturday as he had flown to New York the previous day to attend New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft's surprise wedding. If the Buccaneers' poor start to the season wasn't enough, Tom Brady's decision to unretire and play for at least another season reportedly proved to be a fatal blow to his marriage to former supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
All these factors have led Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio and former Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms to speculate that if Brady could turn back time to February, he would stay retired. Here's what Simms said on Pro Football Talk:
"I think most of football thinks Tom Brady regrets that he's playing right now. I mean, I know it doesn't matter. No matter who I talk to when the subject comes up, it it that that is one of the first things. Brady probably regrets playing this year. It doesn't seem like the same."
Florio chimed in on the situation and said:
"From the Tom versus Tom documentary: 'If you want to compete against me, you have to sacrifice your life because I'm sacrificing mine.' That was his mindset not that long ago. The mindset has changed."
He further added:
"He's aging. He doesn't care as much as he used to, but he chose to sign on for one more tour of duty when he isn't able to muster the mental will that he used to be able to harness for football season."

Tom Brady has no plan on retiring yet
During his media availability this week, Brady was asked whether he would consider retiring before the end of the 2022 season. The quarterback responded that there's no retirement in his future.
While the world continues to speculate that Brady wishes he didn't unretire, the quarterback himself is determined to continue playing. Or at least that's what he's saying publicly. With the Buccaneers in need of a win, they look to their Week 7 matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
In a game that they are heavily favored to win, it will be interesting to see if Tom Brady can deliver.
