Tom Brady's ex-teammate pinpoints where 7x Super Bowl champion might hesitate in $375,000,000 Fox broadcasting role

Tom Brady is looking to make his NFL return this season. The retired star will be behind a desk, working with Fox Sports as a broadcaster. Signing a deal in 2022, Brady took a year off before starting his new journey in 2024. Spanning over a course of 10 years, Fox will be paying Brady $375 million.

There has been plenty of discourse over Brady's new role, many wondering how he will adjust.

Jason McCourty, who played with Brady, spoke about the same during a conversation with Sports Illustrated. According to the former cornerback, Brady is a 'perfectionist'

"I think his fear is that he's such a perfectionist and did it at such a high level that that's going to be the expectation of the other greats that are playing. I think his fear is like, I don't want to get up there and just humble somebody for three straight hours. So it's just like that balance of making sure like I'm pointing out the good things, holding him accountable, seeing what I'm seeing and saying it, but also doing in a way that's enjoyable for everybody." Playing in the NFL for two decades, Brady is often referred to as the greatest of all time. The quarterback won seven titles, mostly with the New England Patriots.

Appearing on Fox Sports 'The Herd' as a guest, Brady went into details of his planning for the role. According to the retired QB, prepping for the role was his only way to feel less nervous.

"The only way that I knew how to combat the nerves and the anxiousness of the game was to prepare. So I was someone that got really, really good at my preparation over the course of my career."

Brady is set to make his debut on September 8 for the Week 1 Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys game.
