Tom Brady's former Super Bowl teammate claims QB big reason why Bucs' offense is terrible

Tom Brady has had a lot of success in his career, with both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has won six Super Bowls with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers.

However, his former teammate, linebacker Tedy Bruschi, whom he won three Super Bowls with, recently spoke on SportsCenter. Bruschi gave his thoughts on why the Bucs' offense has struggled.

Bruschi thinks that the Bucs are trying to overcompensate by trying to be consistent but can't put together consistent plays. He also blamed Tom Brady for part of their struggles and thinks their energy has been down.

"It just seems like they're grasping so much for consistency. I mean, Mike Evans, you know, Tom throws a bad ball and is behind him, but then later in the game, he goes and hits Mike Evans down the field and all of a sudden you think they're going to get something going and then they just can't consistently put good plays together.
"Is Tom a part of that problem? Absolutely. Not being on the same page a part of that problem? Absolutely. But I mean, it's almost like their energy, too, isn't there. It seems like one play doesn't go right and it's just crushing and you can see it."

The Buccaneers were the first team to play last night in Week 8 as they hosted the Baltimore Ravens. They dropped their third-straight game and suffered a 27-22 defeat.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady have gotten off to a slow 3-5 start this season

Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers are certainly not living up to their expectations. After the first eight games of the season, they sit at second place (for now) in the NFC South standings as they have a 3-5 record.

2. #Bucs 3-5
3. #Panthers 2-5

The Atlanta Falcons are currently in the first place, but if they lose this weekend to the Carolina Panthers, then the Bucs will be back in first place.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers started the season off 2-1, as they won two out of their first three games, but then lost four out of their next five.

The Buccaneers will be looking to get out of their slump as they host the Los Angeles Rams next weekend in Week 9.

The season is long and the Bucs could go on a late-season run in December and heat up in time for the playoffs. However, that is a very optimistic view at the moment.
