Tom Brady shocked as CeeDee Lamb struggles with three drops in Giants Thanksgiving clash

Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb had a dismal first half in his team's Thanksgiving Day battle against NFC East rivals, the New York Giants, at AT&T Stadium. The wide receiver dropped three passes, including one that astonished Tom Brady.

On a third-and-1 play in the second quarter, quarterback Cooper Rush rolled to his right and threw an inch-perfect pass to Lamb, who should have hauled it in to move the chains. Instead, he dropped the ball, leaving Dallas with an unnecessary dilemma.

Brady had a difficult time accepting what he had just witnessed. He lauded the Cowboys quarterback for his stellar pass before expressing his disappointment about the drop. The Fox Sports analyst said:

“Wow. It’s actually a perfect throw from (Cooper) Rush. A-plus. Look at CeeDee turn his head (before making the catch). You just don’t see that from him very often. This guy is one of the great wide receivers in the NFL right now. He doesn’t expect to drop one ball all season.”

Dallas decided to go for it on fourth-and-1 but came up short and turned the ball over to the Giants at their 44-yard line.

Fortunately, the defense came through and saved Lamb and the offense's blushes.

CeeDee Lamb stats vs. Giants: WR's rough outing

The dropped catches were seemingly weighing heavy on him. He had an uncharacteristically poor game against the Giants, finishing the night with only two catches for 39 yards.

It's the fewest receptions he has managed in a game since the Cowboys' Week 17 clash against the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 season. He finished that contest with two catches for 45 yards. However, his underwhelming outing didn't have any bearing on the result as Dallas thrashed Philadelphia 51-26.

His poor night against the Giants on Thursday night didn't matter either. The Cowboys registered a 27-20 win to improve to 2024. Regardless, Lamb will be disappointed about his performance, especially the three drops.

They didn't cost the Cowboys, but given how close the game was, they could have played a massive factor.
