Tom Brady has stunning response to Patrick Mahomes' intoxicated Super Bowl parade behavior
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes enjoyed himself at the Super Bowl victory parade. After a season's worth of dedication that ended with a Lombardi Trophy, he partied hard, too hard for some. But not Tom Brady.
During the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, it was clear that Mahomes was intoxicated. Such was his level of intoxication, the Chiefs superstar gave the Lombardi Trophy to a fan on the street before walking away.
Clearly, Chiefs staff members quickly got it back, but Brady gave his thoughts on what many are calling a lapse in judgment from the Kansas City Star newspaper.
"Looks like appropriate parade behavior to me 🤝 @PatrickMahomes."
Now, some are a little confused that Brady seemed to endorse what Mahomes did. Well, we don't have to go too far back to see what Brady did with the Super Bowl trophy when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the title in 2020.
While on boats, the seven-time Super Bowl champ tossed the trophy from one boat to another, which could have ended badly, as Mahomes' incident could have.
Mahomes entitled to enjoy himself after superb 2022 season
The Chiefs quarterback had a season for the ages. He led Kansas City to a 14-3 regular-season record and yet another home AFC championship game.
He finished the regular season with 5,250 passing yards (career high), 41 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. On top of that, he won the NFL MVP award (second time) and capped all of that off with a Super Bowl win (second time) and a Super Bowl MVP trophy as well (second time).
All of that points to a season straight out of the Madden video game.
Such has been the Chiefs' dominance since the quarterback was named the starter, some have said that Andy Reid's team is a dynasty. Two Super Bowl wins in four years suggests that's right, and another Lombardi trophy next season would rubber stamp that.
