Travis Kelce confesses to watching Blake Lively's popular show as his "guilty pleasure"
Everyone has certain guilty pleasures, and Travis Kelce seems to be opening up about his embarrassing ones.
Following the Kansas City Chiefs' 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Travis Kelce sat down with his brother Jason Kelce on the New Heights podcast and confessed to watching a popular show as his "guilty pleasure" growing up.
As the Kelce brothers answered a series of fan questions during Wednesday's episode of their podcast, they came across one that asked:
"What is or are your guilty pleasure shows?"
While Jason and Travis Kelce noted that they aren't embarrassed about their watchlist, the tight end confessed to watching Blake Lively's popular show "Gossip Girl" growing up. Talking about this, Travis said:
"I used to not tell everybody that I watched 'Gossip Girl’ growing up."
Jason was surprised by Travis' confession and the former Eagles star reacted:
"You watch 'Gossip Girl'? You should be embarrassed about it."
"Dude it's so good though. Dude if you watch it, you can get it. You can get in deep. Oh, my god. My guy Chace Crawford. Blake Lively. Shoot me, but I forget the rest of the names of the cast. But it's awesome. It’s a New York high school show with a lot of drama and basically everybody gossiping and talking s–t on each other," Travis further added. (1:15:25)
Lately, Travis Kelce is being trolled for his low performance in the 2024 regular season so far.
During the same podcast, the Chiefs tight end opened up about receiving criticism for his underperformance, stating that he isn't getting much of any opportunities on-field.
Travis Kelce says he is not playing his "best football" this season
Travis Kelce addressed his current unsatisfying stats in the regular season during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast. Kelce shed light on not receiving opportunities on the field to make plays. Talking about the same, he said:
“Pat said it. Coach Reid said it. You know, we're finding ways to win games, and we're not playing our best football. Everybody can clean it up. I think everyone saw my drop, that crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away.
“I think, with how defenses are playing us right now, I'm not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but not using that as an excuse moving forward, still trying to, you know, make sure that I can help the team out in that regard, knowing that I've been that weapon for us in the past," Kelce concluded. Travis Kelce's statement came almost a day after his mother Donna stood up for him against the constant criticism. After an outstanding win over Falcons, the Chiefs are looking forward to facing the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 29.
