Travis Kelce issues daring challenge to former teammate after $33m move to Patriots - “JuJu you gotta get Bill on a TikTok”
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a Super Bowl-winning campaign, and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster also played a huge role in their success.
However, Smith-Schuster is no longer with the Chiefs as he recently signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots. After working with great head coaches like Mike Tomlin and Andy Reid, the wide receiver will get the opportunity to work with Bill Belichick.
During the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce issued a daring challenge for his former teammate, and it might be tough for Smith-Schuster to do that. Here's what Travis Kelce said:
"“It sounds like a fun challenge though. Dude JuJu you gotta get Bill on a TikTok man. Just do a quick one, just do a quick one. He doesn't even know he's on it, just kind of flash him, flash the camera on him.”
JuJu Smith-Schuster is well known for his talent on TikTok, and it will be quite funny and surprising if he ends up convincing coach Belichick to feature in one of his TikToks.
Bill Belichick is often seen as a rigid person, which is why even a player like Smith-Schuster might avoid having extensive fun in front of him. Apart from that, the former Kansas City Chiefs receiver will hope to help Mac Jones next season, as the Patriots trusted him and offered him a long-term deal.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs aim to find JuJu Smith-Schuster's replacement
The Kansas City Chiefs ended up winning last season's Super Bowl, and both Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Schuster played extremely well throughout last season.
Now that Smith-Schuster has signed with the Patriots, the Chiefs need to sign his replacement soon. The franchise has been linked with both DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr., but so far, not much clarity has been observed on the situation.
The Chiefs will have Justyn Ross, the former Clemson receiver for next season, but they might need to add a veteran receiver as well to aid Patrick Mahomes and Kelce.
Last season, Smith-Schuster had 78 catches for 933 yards and scored three touchdowns in 16 games. The Chiefs will hope to continue having success despite losing a great player like Smith-Schuster to the Patriots.
