Travis Kelce recalls academic troubles in school following 'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?' trailer release
Almost a day after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers, Amazon Prime released the trailer for Travis Kelce's Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? game show on Tuesday. On Thursday, Kelce opened up about his experience hosting the reality show in an interview with PEOPLE.
Before talking about his hosting experience, Kelce recalled his academic troubles in school. The Chiefs tight end opened up about the subjects that used to give him trouble in classes. Kelce said:
"I just stay in there. But any history questions, I'm like, 'I don't know if anybody knows that,' and sure enough, everybody does but me."
While Kelce had his share of troubles in academics, his brother Jason was a star student. During the same interview, the tight end praised Jason for his academic excellence.
"He was an honors student. He tested well and all that and everything. He decided to be in all advanced classes. I was like, 'That's too much homework for me.' But yeah, Jason, I think he would do pretty good [on the show]. I'll be interested to hear him talk about it when he sees it."
Travis also shed light on his experience working on his first-ever reality game show and that too as a host:
"I'm excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with 'Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?' The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining."
Travis Kelce's Grotesquerie co-star Courtney B. Vance praises TE's acting debut
Apart from his hosting gig for the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? game show, Travis Kelce kickstarted his acting career in Hollywood with the horror show Grotesquerie. In an interview with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Kelce's co-star Courtney B. Vance praised him.
"He was very wonderful. [It was] not a surprise, he was just prepared. He was just good. And if he needed some help, he was open," Vance said.
Not only Courtney B. Vance but also his on-screen wife Niecy Nash had great things to say about working with Travis Kelce. In an interview with PEOPLE last week, Nash expressed how it was "wonderful" to have Kelce on the sets of Grotesquerie.
