Travis Kelce’s dad Ed reveals major problem with social media platform X - “I was p*ssed at Elon’s trolls"

Travis Kelce's father, Ed, is rarely on social media, but he can be very outspoken when he is. He recently shared a news article by The Times of London detailing how arms dealers had increased in Yemen and conduct their business on X. Site owner Elon Musk permanently banned him for those remarks.

Ed responded on his Facebook page on Sunday:

"I posted the thing about arms dealers active on X because, frankly, I was pissed at Elon's trolls... My comments when I started this conversation were merely to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media turds."

How did Travis Kelce's dad Ed meet Donna?

When Travis Kelce's parents speak, the moment deserves special attention. This is especially true of Ed, who is perceived as a recluse.

Last Thursday was one of those moments, as Travis appeared on the Hidden Pearls podcast with George Kittle's father, Bruce. One topic they discussed was how Ed met his eventual wife, Donna.

Their romance began with a blind date when he worked for a contractor. He went to a bar for a few beers, and it just so happened that Donna appeared. Soon, the two were conversing and ended up spending the evening together.

Recalling the experience, he said (the segment about the blind date begins at 7:53):

“This business about her getting ready for a blind date. I didn’t hear about this til a few years ago. That was never brought up to me at the time, right? Or it was brought up, and I just didn’t hear it.”

In that interview, Ed also discussed his parenting strategies. As kids, Travis and his brother Jason considered themselves rivals. Ed dismissed the that he encouraged their competitiveness, recalling that he told them this:

“You shouldn’t be fighting with each other; you’re brothers.”

And when the two would argue, he recalled becoming worried about their house being damaged:

“I’m looking at the sharp edges on a countertop, the edge of the stove, or the coffee table isn’t rounded.”
