Travis Kelce's ex Kayla Nicole voices complaint after Travis Hunter's fiancée faces backlash - "Yall weird"
Kayla Nicole knows a thing or two about backlash regarding relationships, having been excoriated for how she handled her breakup with Travis Kelce. She now sees someone else suffering the same indignation and has reached out.
As Travis Hunter was being named the Heisman winner over the weekend, his fiancee, Leanna Lenee, was seen remaining seated even as the audience, including Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, stood up and applauded. Fans on social media condemned the seeming nonchalance at such a monumental achievement.
Lenee explained herself in a TikTok post two days later, and Nicole has since backed her up, telling critics:
"Y'all weird."
When another fan continued the condemnations, she responded.
Social media hate over Travis Kelce relationship helped Kayla Nicole prepare for role in 'Special Forces'
"What does not kill you makes you stronger." That's what Kayla Nicole thinks of the hate that she has been receiving from fans, mostly over her past relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. And to her, that is certainly the case regarding her appearance in the upcoming third season of the Fox reality series "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test."
She told Page Six during press day:
“I think that put things in full perspective, that social media is literally just that – words on the internet and experiences. ... Like, there’s people in the real world that are doing this on a daily basis to save lives. So, the little tweets and the headlines could mean nothing to me when you’re put in an environment like this.”
She also said that she had wanted to be on the show for a long time as some sort of change from her routine, particularly mentioning actress/singer/online personality JoJo Siwa as an inspiration:
“I actually watched the first season with my sisters. I turned it off, and I looked at them and I’m like, ‘So, what do you guys think? Like, should I do this?’ They’re like, ‘First of all, this is insanity. But also, you’re the most insane person that I know. And if anybody could do this, you could do it.’”
Season 3 of "Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test" premieres on Jan. 8.
