Travis Kelce's possible Top Gun 3-Tom Cruise collaboration might need few post-retirement changes, claims Miles Teller
There's no denying Travis Kelce's Hollywood dream. Already starring in FX's Grotesquerie, the Kansas City Chiefs star has already started his acting career.
However, his possible collaboration with Tom Cruise and Top Gun 3 might have to wait a bit.
According to 'Top Gun: Maverick' actor Miles Teller, the tight end might have to wait until he retires from the NFL.
During a media interaction, Teller was asked about Travis Kelce's possible chance to star in Top Gun 3. Though Teller didn't deny any possibility, he pointed out that no pilot is as big as Kelce.
"You gotta be...there's no pilot that looks like [Travis Kelce]," Teller said (via Starcade Media). "[He can play the role] when he retires and loses, you know, bunch of muscle mass then yeah, maybe."
That being said, Teller's comment is no confirmation that Kelce is actually in consideration for a role in the Top Gun franchise.
Furthermore, fans already connected Kelce to the movie when he attended an Eras Tour show with Tom Cruise last month.
The two stars were together at Swift's show in London, grooving to the singer's Blank Space together.
Fans were delighted at the random link-up, even dubbing the unlikely duo as best friends. Of course, a few users quickly connected their meeting to Top Gun.
Travis Kelce has 'acting chops' as per Director Larry McGee
As mentioned, Travis Kelce is already starring in FX's horror drama series Grotesquerie along with stars like Niecy Nash, Lesley Manville and Courtney B. Vance.
Director and producer Larry McGee, who has begun shooting with the three-time Super Bowl champion, was all praises for Kelce's talent.
"Since @killatrav came to play with us on set for a while (the acting chops are there). I told him in return, I’ll be watching football this season. Let’s go, Kansas City Chiefs," McGee wrote.
Fans have been excited to see Kelce acting and are excited about the NFL star's change in career.
Of course, a few believe Travis Kelce — especially with Taylor Swift at his side — can make it big in Hollywood.
