Travis Kelce's role in Adam Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' was "a dream come true" for Chiefs TE

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce already has his sights on his next movie role. The three-time Super Bowl winner has expressed interest in starring in Happy Gilmore 2 if the comedic sequel was ever created — now he may have the chance.

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler announced last week that the sequel will be made in 2025. After nearly three decades, Sandler said the script and time is finally right to create the next version of the hit comedy. Kelce is set to make an appearance in the film as well.

A source told The Sun that he has met with Sandler and other members of the production team and that it is "a dream come true" for him to appear in the film.

"Travis couldn’t believe it. It’s like a dream come true for him, as Adam Sandler is one of his idols, a heavyweight in the movie business, and he loves his movies, so it’s a perfect opportunity for him to work with one of his favorite directors," a source told The Sun.

Sandler confirmed on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" that Travis Kelce will make an appearance in the film:

“He has mentioned it, and so we have a nice something for Travis. He is going to come by.”

While it's unknown how much of a role Kelce will have in the film, Sandler's confirmation will have NFL fans excited.

Jason and Travis Kelce agree to $100 million podcast deal with Amazon

On Tuesday morning, it was announced that Travis and Jason Kelce signed a lucrative deal with Amazon for their podcast "New Heights." The deal is with Amazon Wondery for three years and is worth over $100 million.

"New Heights" which launched in 2022, has become one of the most popular sports-centric podcasts in the country. Its popularity grew outside of the NFL fanbase when Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began dating, bringing "Swifties" into the fold.

The podcast, which launches season 3 on Aug. 28, will still be available on YouTube and other platforms. The deal with Amazon Wondery will allow exclusive rights to the company and for it to be aired on other platforms.
