Travis Kelce shares what it's like to be Taylor Swift's 'arm candy'
Dating Taylor Swift has undoubtedly skyrocketed Travis Kelce's public image to a global level. Being with one of the most famous artists in the world comes with staying under a constant microscope of attention. However, the Chiefs tight end seems nonchalant about the additional attention.
On Thursday, Travis Kelce sat in an interview with Jamie Yuccas on CBS Mornings to talk about his new Gladiator-themed Pepsi commercial. During the interview, the Chiefs' tight end talked about the experience of being the "arm candy" of girlfriend Taylor Swift:
"It’s the life I chose, I guess. I have fun with it."
Kelce's statement came less than a week after he shared the reality behind Patrick Mahomes' claims that Taylor Swift is drawing plays for the Chiefs. The tight end's statement came during the latest edition of "Rich Eisen Show," where he said:
"She has just been so open to learning the game she didn't know much about the rules and everything. And I think what makes her so good in her profession is that she's so detailed in every every aspect of it from the words to the music to even the releases and the music videos and everything."
"She's so detailed in a part of it that I think she was just curious about the profession, and I don't think any of the plays have gotten to coach Reid. But if they ever do, I'll make sure everyone knows it was her creation," he said.
Taylor Swift has a massive fanbase, and it's common for boyfriend Travis Kelce to come across requests from friends and acquaintances to meet the "Blank Space" singer. However, Giants legend Eli Manning confessed to never relying on the Chiefs tight end for arranging a meetup with Swift.
Eli Manning refuses to use Travis Kelce to arrange kids' meet up with Taylor Swift
In an interview with US Weekly on Wednesday, Giants legend Eli Manning discussed how his kids are huge fans of Taylor Swift. But despite their pleas to their father to contact Travis Kelce and arrange a meetup with Swift, Manning has thus far refused to help.
"If we happen to be somewhere where Travis and Taylor are in the same town or city and [they’re] like, ‘You gotta text Travis and see if we can, like, just meet up. We’ll be quick... We just wanna see her.' I’m like, ‘I’m not texting him [for you] to see Taylor.... You gotta do it yourself'," Manning said.
The Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens play today at 8:20 EDT to kick off the 2024 NFL season. Taylor Swift might make an appearance at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer for Travis Kelce. Who are you cheering for today?
