Travis Kelce has a special message for 'experts' who doubted Chiefs in 2022

With a second Super Bowl title under his name, Travis Kelce has enhanced his reputation in the NFL world. Kelce was thankful to his supporters, but did not fail to call out those who doubted his team.

While on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Kelce directly addressed the experts who underminded their team, ultimately opting for Philadelphia Eagles as their favorites.

Fallon started the conversation by displaying the experts' picks in the presence of Travis Kelce. They were all lopsided predictions in favor of the Eagles.

According to Kelce, his team has had to face such comments since April:

"The experts say that, yeah, the Chiefs were out of it way back in April, I think. We lost a big-name wide-receiver, one of my favorite teammates ever, Tyreek Hill, and they thought that it was just - it was over for us".

He added:

"And that's why being on that mountaintop, man, it just felt that much sweeter, man".

The Kansas City Chiefs star also praised Mahomes, who is often underappreciated as the leader. Not only is he amazing on the court, but has also managed to do a lot for the Kansas City community. Speaking about their friendship, Kelce said that their bond had grown 'organically'.

Travis Kelce address the ups and downs as a team, and how special it was to win this Super Bowl

As a team, the Chiefs' 2019 Super Bowl win was extremely iconic. What no one predicted, however, was their 31-9 Super Bowl LV loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, the team worked hard, eventually bagging another title two years later.

"The first time was one of the most emotional like, 'I finally did it'. And then we lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, got our tails whupped pretty good against them," Kelce added. "So that was a low moment".

That being said, nothing quite compares to winning a Super Bowl after the odds were stacked against the Chiefs.

"And then it kind of built back up. And to get this one, to be back on the mountaintop, man. I'll tell you what, it's the best feeling in the world".

Kelce and Fallon also discussed his bond with his brother Jason, who plays for the Eagles. The pair made history by becoming the first set of brothers to play against each other in the Super Bowl.
