Travis Kelce didn't think he 'fit in' after Prince William meet up, claims mother Donna
Travis Kelce has certainly gained popularity over the last few months. With a third Super Bowl, dating Taylor Swift, and some acting projects under his belt, Kelce already has one step into Hollywood post-retirement. However, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end seems to think he has a long way to go.
Traveling the world for his girlfriend's opulent Eras Tour shows, Travis Kelce also had the chance to meet Prince William in London. Kelce's mother Donna, during an interview with Extra, revealed how he reacted after meeting the Prince of Wales.
"He said that 'When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant… somebody's in the suite, you're just like, who in this picture doesn't fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn't seem right.'" (via DailyMail).
That being said, Mama Kelce has some faith in her son, confident that he is adjusting properly to his new fame and exciting meetups with people like Prince William.
"But I think he's handling it pretty well, he's a pretty friendly guy," Donna Kelce added.
Swift had been the one to share a photo from the moment, the new power couple posing with William and his children.
Travis Kelce was hyped after his first meeting with Prince William
This wasn't the first time Travis Kelce discussed his meeting with Prince William. In a previous episode of his "New Heights" podcast with brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs TE went into detail about the encounter.
"Dude, he was the coolest motherf***er," Travis said. "He was awesome. It was so cool. I didn't realize this because obviously, we're backstage meeting him because he was there with little George and Charlotte."
Kelce added that he didn't know how to react to meeting them, confused if he should bow, curtsy, or just be 'an American idiot and shake their hand.'
The prince also attended the concert on his 42nd birthday, making it a special occasion for the family.
