Trevor Lawrence's wife Marissa reveals adorable 'get well' gifts from NFL fans following QB’s injury

Days after Trevor Lawrence experienced a scary concussion in a Week 13 game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans, the NFL quarterback's wife, Marissa Lawrence, took to Instagram and shared a sneak peek of the overwhelming support the family has received after the injury.

On Friday, in her IG Story, Mrs. Lawrence posted a picture of the small Christmas tree, which was decorated with gold ornaments, with a red and plaid bow topping it off.

Beneath the Christmas Tree, a plate of cookies and a handmade card for Trevor were placed with heartfelt messages.

The card, having drawings, read:

“GET WELL Trevor! LG The Best.”

Alongside the photo, Marissa penned a gratitude message and wrote:

"So thankful for our community. We have had our neighbors show up with gifts. Some get-well cards from the kids in the community and our relationships with nonprofits. Home cooked meals from sweet chef V and lots of messages and prayers. So grateful for this Jax community and all the love. Thank you guys."

As reported by the NFL.com's staff writer Nick Shook, the Jacksonville Jaguars have officially placed their QB Trevor Lawrence on injured reserve owing to his concussion in the Week 13 loss to the Houston Texans. Now, Lawrence is set to undergo surgery to repair an AC joint injury in his left shoulder.

His concussion happened in the first half of the game when he was hit by Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair while scrambling.

As Lawrence attempted to slide, Al-Shaair pulled off an extended forearm to the NFL QB's head. Consequently, it put Lawrence into a fencing position.

After receiving the hit from Al-Shaair, Lawrence was carted off the field.

Al-Shaair, who was penalized and ejected for the illegal hit, later received a three-game suspension.

Before this injury, Trevor Lawrence had been battling a shoulder issue. Now that he is sidelined, former first-round pick Mac Jones, who stepped in as the QB against the Texans, is expected to lead the Jaguars for the remainder of the season.
