Tyreek Hill delivers his verdict on Chiefs re-signing Kareem Hunt after Isiah Pacheco's injury

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill weighed in on his former team re-signing his former teammate. Isiah Pacheco's fibula fracture has opened the doors for former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt to rejoin the team.

Pacheco, one of the Kansas City Chiefs' star running backs and a major offensive weapon, has been ruled out for the next 6-8 weeks. Without wasting much time, the Chiefs swiftly moved to sign Kareem Hunt to their practice roster.

Taking to X (formerly, Twitter), he celebrated Hunt's return to the Chiefs.

"My boy Kareem back in kc I love it," Hunt wrote.

Hunt was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round in 2017. However, he was released by the team the very next year when a video showed him kicking and pushing a woman in a hotel in Cleveland.

Following that, the Cleveland Browns picked him up in 2019, where he stayed till 2023. He was suspended for eight weeks in 2019 for his earlier misconduct.

The Chiefs hope that his versatility could open him up to a pass-catcher role on third downs. The team also has Samaje Perine and Carson Steele in the running back position to man the field in Pacheco's absence.

Even though head coach Andy Reid expressed confidence in the talent within the Chiefs locker room for the RB position, he did say that Brett Veach was scouting external options as well.

With the famed Chiefs offense not living up to their expectations, Hunt's entry into the Chiefs comes at a crucial time what with wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown being lost to shoulder surgery as well.

Tyreek Hill starring with Dolphins after Chiefs exit

Like Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill also left Kansas City. The wideout was traded to Miami in 2022 for five draft picks. After trading Hill, the Chiefs went on to win two straight Super Bowl championships, which has been a bitter pill for the wideout to swallow.

Tyreek Hill was forced to leave the Chiefs because they couldn't match the deal he was expecting. Instead, he found a new home in Miami, which brought him on board and signed him to a $120 million, 4-year contract.

He has been doing well with the Dolphins. He has set career-highs in receiving yards and made All-Pro in consecutive years. He also led the league in both receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) last season.

However, Tyreek Hill has yet to make it to the Super Bowl with the Miami Dolphins, who have lost in the wild card round in back-to-back years.
