Tyreek Hill's Dodge Charger involved in car chase, Dolphins WR's reps release statement in aftermath: Report
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this week and Tuesday night only added to the NFL superstar's troubles.
According to a report from Douglas Now, a white Dodge Charger belonging to Tyreek Hill was involved in a car chase in Coffee County late last night. Hill himself wasn't present in the vehicle during the incident.
The report adds that the incident stemmed from a traffic stop when a Coffee County Sheriff's Office drug unit detective attempted to approach the vehicle. The suspect, a 32-year-old man named Billy Clarence Toombs Jr. then proceeded to lead officers on a car chase. Toombs Jr. was eventually arrested at Gaskin and Pine. He is suspected to have allegedly discarded drugs during the chase.
Tyreek Hill's representatives later released a statement to WALB stating that the Dolphins playmaker was in no way involved in the incident. The statement read:
“Mr. Hill has no affiliation or relationship with the individual that has been alleged to have been operating the vehicle that’s registered to Mr. Hill. Mr. Hill does not know why the individual was allowed to use the vehicle nor does he know the individual that has been alleged to have been operating the vehicle.
"Mr. Hill wants to make it abundantly clear that he has no connection to this matter and did not have knowledge that the individual was operating the vehicle.”
Tyreek Hill faces another legal setback as Dolphins WR loses paternity lawsuit
In May this year, Tyreek Hill's wife Keeta Vaccaro announced she was pregnant with the Dolphins wide receiver's child. The pair tied the knot in November 2023 after being engaged for two years.
Late last week, however, Hill was delivered another bit of news. A Florida court ruled against Hill in a paternity lawsuit and declared the Dolphins star the father of another child. The lawsuit claimed Hill paid the mother $2,500 a month whereas the actual cost of caretaking was alleged to have reached $10,000 a month.
Hill is also believed to be paying his ex-fiancee Crystal Espinal $13,500 in child support towards three of his kids.
