Tyreek Hill gives AJ Brown's idea of wide receivers link up a thumbs up amid Tight End University buzz

Tyreek Hill and A.J. Brown sit as two of the top wide receivers in the NFL. However, while the tight ends prepare for a rendevous, the other core pass-catching position has seemingly been sitting on its hands. A.J. Brown aimed to change that on Wednesday as the wide receiver took to X (formerly Twitter) to solicit other receivers to put something together.

He got one big endorsement in the form of Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill as the receiver posted a short-winded approval of the idea.

"Let's go bro," Hill replied simply.

Here's what Brown posted in an open invitation:

"Wideouts wassup? The Tight Ends get together for a weekend. The Db’s link up. The pass rushers even get together. Come on guys, we can’t be too big time to link up and learn. I’m a fan of everyone and willing to work with whoever. Let’s make it happen wideouts."

Of course, his request insinuated that anyone who declines believes they're "too big time" to learn. It seems possible Hill bit on that indirect challenge.

A.J. Brown takes aim at surpassing Tyreek Hill in 2024

If Tyreek Hill were to take part in a meeting of the wide receiver minds, Brown might get a lopsided information trade. With Hill now at the age of 30, he has had more time to accrue more information about playing the position. If he hands off his information in exchange for what Brown knows, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver might net a greater return.

While the two players are on different teams in different conferences, both aim to be the most productive wide receiver in 2024. With the Dolphins wide receiver not getting any younger, it only becomes more likely for the pass-catcher to take a step back.

Once that happens, another will take his place at the top. A.J. Brown's eventual goal is set to be in place when Hill declines.

Of course, Hill isn't going to let anyone take his place in 2024 willingly. The 30-year-old receiver is coming off a season in which he earned essentially 1800 yards. Even if he slips by hundreds of yards this season, he will still have an opportunity to lead the league once again, assuming no one else can repeat his 2023 feat.

Will Tyreek Hill hold off A.J. Brown for one more year?
