Tyreek Hill makes feelings clear on DeAndre Hopkins’ 86-yard, 2-TD night during Chiefs' OT win vs Bucs
Tyreek Hill is all praise for DeAndre Hopkins. The Chiefs Kingdom's new recruit has lived up to coach Andy Reid's expectations. Just like Reid predicted, Hopkins' second game with the team was impactful. He caught two touchdowns, which played an important role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ dramatic 30-24 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday. Moreover, the WR set some season records by notching eight catches for 86 yards.
Understanding how the Chiefs' offense is in good hands, Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill had nothing but nice things to say about Hopkins.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
"Happy D-Hop s**t looking good."
Interestingly, it appears Tyreek Hill still has a lot of love for his former team. So much so that he did not hesitate to give a shout-out to Hopkins.
Hill's comment was not overlooked by NFL fans.
"You might just join us, Reek. Wouldn’t you like being 8-0 instead of 2-6?" one fan commented under his tweet for Hopkins.
Meanwhile, a second fan commented, "Join us baby! 3-peat, 4-peat, etc!"
Another fan wrote, "I know you wanna come back man."
That said if the Chiefs continue to pile on the wins on this spotless streak, another Super Bowl could be on the horizon, which would give DeAndre Hopkins his first ring.
Hopkins was traded by the Titans to the Chiefs in exchange for a conditional 2025 fifth-round pick on Oct. 23.
Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls since Tyreek Hill's trade to Dolphins
Hill had a shot at being a three-time Super Bowl champion. However, he was traded by the Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins before the 2022 NFL season. It's safe to say the Chiefs offense would have looked a little different but still lethal if Hill had stuck around in Kansas City.
While the Chiefs wrapped up two more Super Bowls after Hill left for Miami, they are now chasing an unprecedented third straight Lombardi.
On the contrary, the Dolphins have suffered back-to-back opening-round defeats in the NFL playoffs. The team has also failed to utilize Hill's exceptional speed all that well.
The Chiefs were heavy favorites to trade for Hill ahead of the trade deadline but with cap space at a premium and Hill's $30 million+ salary cap hit next year, that was always a long shot.
