Tyreek Hill pokes fun at Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola for mimicking Patrick Mahomes: "Man trying to steal his flow"

Tyreek Hill was not the only one taken aback as Patrick Mahomes rocked up in Nebraska only to see that it was quarterback Dylan Raiola on closer inspection. NFL fans were left staring quizzically at their laptops and phone screens as they tried to figure out if they had entered a parallel universe where the reigning Super Bowl champion had decided to go back and try his hand at college football.

Raiola, the freshman quarterback, is being touted as a big prospect for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He's the son of former NFL player Dominic Raiola and godson of Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Matthew Stafford. So, all eyes were already expected to be on him. But because he looked like a spitting image of Patrick Mahomes, the cameras couldn't help but pick him up.

Tyreek Hill was so baffled by the whole thing that he fired out a couple of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. In one, he tagged his former Chiefs teammate and wrote.

"boy ain’t no way... @PatrickMahomes"

In another standalone tweet, he contemplated:

"Man trying to steal his flow"

NFL fans find themselves agreeing with Tyreek Hill's take on Dylan Raiola looking like Patrick Mahomes

Tyreek Hill was not the only one who saw the connection between the way Dylan Raiola and Patrick Mahomes looked. NFL Insider Adam Schefter posted about the same thing, and it elicited multiple responses.

Some called the young quarterback up for trying too hard to copy the NFL superstar.

Others thought that the college player might be rocking such a look because it would be good for his NIL valuation and even joked that State Farm might take him up. Here are some such reactions.

"Really leaning into that NIL opportunity. State Farm: "We can just hire that Nebraska kid for 1/4 the money.""
"Stole his entire flow…"
"Will the real Patrick Mahomes please stand up?"

Dylan Raiola will have to deal with these comparisons and how he acquits himself in the eye of all this attention will show how good a player he can become. But coming to Nebraska was always going to be tough for him.

That's because his father played for the same college program and has had his jersey retired. Those are big footsteps to fill. Dylan Raiola will have to live up to multiple expectations from fans, and it will be fascinating to follow his journey.
