Tyreek Hill takes a dig at Lions forcing a fumble against Giants
Tyreek Hill is not a player who's expected to play in the NFL preseason, so he has more than enough time to watch the games when the Miami Dolphins aren't playing. The wide receiver is a superstar and, at 30 years of age, doesn't need extra snaps.
As the first games of Week 1 of the preseason kicked off today, Hill watched one of the weirdest plays that happened in the warm-up games and couldn't help but notice that the turnover was similar to what happens on Madden. A player from the New York Giants grabbed an interception, but suffered a fumble and lost possession during his return.
The Miami Dolphins will play the first game of their 2024 preseason on Friday, as they take the Atlanta Falcons in what should be the first game of Michael Penix Jr. on an NFL field. Don't expect to see either Hill or Tua Tagovailoa on the field.
Tyreek Hill could surpass the 2,000-yards with his new deal
The numbers didn't change, but more guaranteed money was added to his deal. If you look at his production and his age, it certainly makes sense for the franchise to give him more financial security ahead of the season, generating more motivation - especially because he's not going anywhere anyway.
He's the most important player on the roster. How could it be different? Tyreek Hill unlocks Mike McDaniel's system entirely. He's the perfect vertical threat, but no one who watches football thinks that he's just a deep receiver. He amassed 1.799 receiving yards during the 2023 season and had not been injured, he would fulfill his goal and become the first 2,000-yard receiver.
Jaylen Waddle certainly is helped by having Hill next to him – they're not only the best wide receiver duo of the AFC East, but in contention to be the best in the NFL. He's now 30, but there are no signs of decline in his game.
Just like having Aaron Donald was perfect for the rest of the Rams' defense in recent years, Tyreek Hill's presence opens up a sea of possibilities for the rest of the offense in Miami.
