Tyreek Hill voices major complaint over top 10 NFL defensive linemen list
Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is not happy with PFF's list of top defensive linemen in the NFL. PFF recently released a full list of the top 50 players in the league, and only three Dolphins players made the list.
Hill was ranked as the eighth-best player in the NFL, while his teammates, Jalen Ramsey and Jevon Holland, were ranked the 40th and 48th-best players in the league, respectively. The 30-year-old wideout was disappointed when neither Bradley Chubb nor Jaelan Phillips made the cut. Hill wrote this on X after seeing the names on the list:
"Not having Bradley or J on here is bonkers to me"
PFF's top-10 defensive lineman list included:
- Myles Garrett
- Micah Parsons
- Chris Jones
- Nick Bosa
- Dexter Lawrence
- T.J. Watt
- Maxx Crosby
- Quinnen Williams
- Aidan Hutchinson
- Jalen Carter
Both Bradley Chubb (ACL) and Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) are currently recovering from devastating injuries that they suffered last year. PFF might not have included both since they will likely miss most of the 2023–2024 NFL season.
After getting traded to the Dolphins in 2022, Chubb has been a huge player for the franchise. In his first full year in Miami, he had 45 solo tackles, 28 assists, and 11.0 sacks. Before his injury in Week 12, Phillips was sensational for the Dolphins. In eight games last year, he had 28 solo tackles, 15 assists, 6.5 sacks, and one interception.
Tyreek Hill's Dolphins will face a challenging task to make playoffs this season
The Miami Dolphins finished last season with a record of 11-6, but they missed out on the AFC East Division title after losing the last two games of the regular season. They were sent home in the Wildcard Round by the Kansas City Chiefs, as Tyreek Hill and co. once again failed to play good football in cold weather.
Moreover, the chances of them winning the AFC East this upcoming season are quite low. The Dolphins currently have the third-best odds of winning their division, behind the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. It will be interesting to see whether they will make the playoffs or not. Players like Chubb, Phillips, and Cameron Goode are still out injured, and the Jets being in a much better situation than last season will make things tricky for Miami.
Tyreek Hill is coming off a phenomenal season, in which he had 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games. In 2024, he will once again aim to become the first player in NFL history to record 2,000 receiving yards in a single season.
