Warren Sapp sounds off on Bucs stars

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the most disappointing teams this season. They are 3-5 through their first eight games of the 2022-23 NFL season.

On Thursday night, the Bucs lost their third-straight game in a 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

With the loss, the Bucs are now in second place in the NFC South, behind the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons.

Warren Sapp, a former defensive lineman with the Buccaneers, sounded off on linebacker Devin White and the Bucs defense on a play where the Ravens hit Devin Duvernay for a screen. Sapp pointed out the lack of effort by the Bucs' players.

Sapp said:

"Alright, 3rd and 9, 10-10 game, there's five plays in a football game that will decide a football game Tony Dungy used to say, I want yall to watch this one, or better yet I want you to watch the effort of the captain number 45, then 54 just run through it, 27 contain the ball, longest plays in the NFL happen up the sideline now we got a first down. I want you to watch the captain. How do you show up with with your defnese on Monday morning with this type of effort. I'm asking to take the C off your chest, are you shi**ing me, are you kidding me right now? What is that?"

The Bucaneers season could end earlier than last year and Tom Brady could be in the booth as a sports commentator

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are having an underwhleming season thus far to say the least. In the last two years, they've been contenders with Tom Brady at quarterback, and they won the Super Bowl in 2021, while falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of last year's playoffs.

If the season ended today, the Bucs wouldn't be a playoff team. There are still nine games left to be played, and anything can happen in the NFL with teams going on runs and getting hot.

If the Bucs don't make it to the post-season, their season will end much sooner than the previous two years and Brady could start his career in the booth as a color commentator as he struck a big deal with Fox before the season started once he retires from football.
