Jerry Jones believes Dan Snyder is "testing the waters" with Jeff Bezos, Jay-Z mulling bidsĀ

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that current Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder is 'testing the waters' regarding the sale of the franchise.

With more and more pressure on Snyder to sell the team, there are reports of several high-profile people looking to bid, namely Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z.

Jerry Jones was on his weekly radio spot on 105.3 The Fan and gave his thoughts on the current situation. He said that "all options are on the table" right now.

"I bet that all options are on the table and then you see what might be possible and I think that's what this exercise is. Let's see what our options are here, see what the big interest is, what makes the most sense, in their case to the Snyders, and then go from there.

"It's one thing to sit there at your table and draw up all your plans and figure out how you're going to get it done financially. But you're in the mirror, in this case, you need more and that's a third party, so he's out there testing the waters."

Just how much of the team Dan Snyder is willing to sell is unknown, whether it is just a minority stake, or the entire franchise. But it will be a fascinating watch over the next few months.

How much are Washington Commanders worth?

According to Forbes, the Commanders are valued at an eye-watering $5.6 billion. Given the recent sale of the Denver Broncos, which was worth $4.65 million, anyone who has an interest in buying the team will need to stump up a serious amount of money.

With Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z rumored to be interested parties, it may take a joint effort to acquire the NFC East franchise.

Given that only 32 people on the planet can call themselves NFL owners, the chance to become one will no doubt see plenty of suitors come forward.

If Commanders fans were hoping to see the back of Dan Snyder quickly, then think again.

This will be a long process that will likely take months and we don't know how much of the team Snyder will sell.

Either way, Jerry Jones feels that Dan Snyder is "testing the waters" right now to see who is interested and at what price. Watch this space.
