Baker Mayfield and wife Emily recap annual event after raising $220,000 for Tampa-based children's non-profit
Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, hosted their second BE the ball event. This fundraiser is part of the Tampa Bay quarterback's The Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation.
Their annual gathering is a non-profit organization started by the NFL couple to help people in Tampa.
Emily Mayfield recapped the event, proudly sharing the $220,000 it raised.
"Closing out the week with one more recap and a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported our second annual BE the ball event, raising over $220,000. We are so excited that @elchillsborough will be the main beneficiary of this event and can’t wait to see how your support makes a difference in our community," the note read.
Her supporters are proud of the organization's rapid progress.
The funds raised by the Mayfield's benefit the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC), another non-profit that works with families, providers and advocates to ensure quality early childhood education for families in Hillsborough County.
Studies show that 46% of Hillsborough County families live in poverty. The Mayfield fundraiser helps support these individuals.
Baker Mayfield and Emily are entering the 2024 NFL season as new parents
Baker and Emily Mayfield welcomed their daughter Kova Jade home earlier this year. The new parents enter the 2024 season with some additional luck.
Emily has regularly updated her Instagram, providing occasional sneak peeks into her family downtime.
Referring to her daughter's arms, Emily wrote:
"I dream about these rolls."
Emily seems excited to take Kove Jade to Tampa Bay games so the pair can support the team and its QB.
The Bucs begin their 2024 campaign on September 8 against the Washington Commanders.
