WATCH: Drake London throws punches at Giants players in major scuffle
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London got into it with a few New York Giants defensive players during Sunday's game.
In the second quarter, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw an interception, with London making the tackle. That led to a fight with a punch being thrown.
Giants defenders were pulling London off of Giants cornerback Cor'Dale Flott, which caused London to react. Eventually, London was amid the scrum with multiple players, notably throwing a punch at lineman Elijah Garcia.
As a result of the scuffle, London was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, giving the Giants an extra 15 yards. He was not ejected for throwing a punch.
Drake London spoke about the quarterback change the team made before Sunday's game against the New York Giants
This week, the Atlanta Falcons benched starting quarterback Kirk Cousins for backup quarterback Michael Penix Jr. after Cousins' recent struggles.
London, one of Atlanta's top wide receivers and pass-catching options, was asked his thoughts on the move.
“I don’t take QB changes in any way," London said. "We did that in college a lot. Honestly, how I look at is, just catch the ball. Whoever throws me the ball, I don’t care, just as long as it gets there and it’s catchable, that’s all that matters to me.”
Heading into Sunday's game, London has 78 catches for 919 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Falcons are 7-7 entering the game against the Giants. Up 24-7 late in the game, the Falcons will likely improve to 8-7 barring a late-game rally by the Giants.
The Falcons are still in contention for the NFC South or at least a wildcard spot.
