WATCH: Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown recreate Allen Iverson's step-over celebration vs Colts

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs made a 1-yard run toward the end zone and gave his team a 7-3 lead against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.

Jared Goff handed the ball to Gibbs, and he took off toward the left. He dodged his way through Colts defenders and walked into the end zone.

After the touchdown, Lions star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown was on the ground, and Gibbs stepped over him in a recreation of the iconic "step-over" celebration by legendary NBA player Allen Iverson. Iverson performed the celebration on the Los Angeles Lakers' Tyronn Lue after a clutch shot during the 2001 NBA Finals.

However, this is not the first time the NBA classic has made its way to the NFL. Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase performed the TD celebration over Cleveland Browns CB Greg Newsome II after he scored an 18-yard touchdown last month.

At halftime, the Lions were leading 14-6, with the second TD by David Montgomery on a 6-yard run. The Lions (9-1) have only lost one game this season.

Gibbs has scored a touchdown in four of the last five games and has recorded 796 yards on 133 carries, which brings his average yard per carry to 6.0, which is higher than his career average (5.5).

Jahmyr Gibbs almost went to the Dallas Cowboys

On the Nov. 15 episode of Richard Sherman's podcast, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs revealed he thought he’d be drafted by Dallas during the 2023 NFL Draft when he was selected 12th overall.

"Go to Detroit? No, I really didn't expect that. I mean, I knew they liked me. But when you go on a visit, I mean, it seems like they all like you. So, I mean, it was crazy. I knew for a fact that Dallas was going to get me at 26 if I was still there, and a couple other places like Cincinnati is going to get me."

However, the Cowboys decided to keep Ezekiel Elliott and passed on the opportunity to draft another RB.
