WATCH: Jason Kelce signs a baby's shirt during adorable fan moment at American Century Championship
Recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce made his debut at the annual American Century Championship golf tournament this weekend. The event, held in Lake Tahoe, has participants from various professional sports and Hollywood playing golf to raise awareness and funds for "Eat.Learn.Play," an Oakland-based charity founded by Steph Curry.
During the first round of golf this weekend, Jason Kelce had a sweet moment with a young fan at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course. The Super Bowl winning center approached a group of spectators and then walked up to a fan holding a baby and signed the back of the young fan's shirt upon being asked to do so.
“Gimme a baby I’ll sign it” - @JasonKelce
As he was giving the autograph, one fan asked if he was beating younger brother Travis Kelce, to which he sighed and said that he was 'beating himself'.
Jason Kelce gets into beer chugging competition with a fan
Jason Kelce may not be the best golfer during the American Century Championship, but he definitely became a fan favorite. When he wasn't signing a baby's shirt, he was chugging beers with other fans.
The official X account of Kelce's "New Heights" podcast shared a clip of the former NFL center walking up to a group of fans seated in the stand. A couple challenged Kelce to a beer chugging contest and of course, he didn't pass up the opportunity. In fact, he assured the fan that he would defeat him.
Jason walked up to the fan and proceeded to 'shotgun' the can of beer way quicker than the fan.
“I think I can beat you dude,” Jason Kelce said.
Kelce then proceeded to pick up his golf club and walk back to the golf course as if nothing had happened. Fans roared as he continued his walk back to the green.
Although his round of golf did not go as well as he had hoped, Kelce did win the Long Drive Competition earlier in the weekend by driving a golf ball 322 yards.
