WATCH: Julian Edelman goes all-the-way in picking his winner for Super Bowl LVII
Julian Edelman understands the feeling of playing in Super Bowls, playing in four in his 12 seasons in the NFL, all with the New England Patriots. The former wide receiver is now an NFL analyst for Paramount+ and recently shared his prediction for Super Bowl LVII. Edelman took to Twitter to share a video of his winner between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
The analyst did not hesitate on who he likes to win the game, picking the Eagles. He even gave a final score of 31 - 28 in favor of the Eagles. In the video, Edelman also spoke of the talented quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts finished second in the NFL MVP voting this season to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Fans can see why Julian Edelman likes Hurts, who threw for 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 13 touchdowns, tied for second in the NFL this season. The Eagles were the number one overall seed in the NFC, who was 14 - 3 in the regular season.
The Chiefs were the number one seed in the AFC with an identical regular season record of 14 - 3. This Super Bowl LVII matchup is one full of several storylines.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, are the first brothers to face each other in a Super Bowl.
Is Julian Edelman right with his Super Bowl prediction?
While the Super Bowl LIII MVP would like the Eagles to win, the Chiefs cannot simply be overlooked. Kansas City will bring the experience, winning Super Bowl LIV as Mahomes took home the MVP award in that game.
Yet, the Eagles won Super Bowl LII in the 2017 season. Let's see if Julian Edelman is right and Hurts wins his first Lombardi Trophy or if Mahomes takes home his second one in Super Bowl LVII.
