WATCH: Logan Wilson, Ted Karras throw hands as Bengals training camp descends into fist-fight
Training camp often sees fights take place and NFL players' emotions get the best of them as they ramp up for the start of the season. The Cincinnati Bengals had a fight take place at their camp on Thursday.
Offensive lineman Ted Karras and linebacker Logan Wilson got into it after Wilson shoved Karras. The offensive lineman didn't take kindly to it, and several players got involved in a brawl with a couple of punches being thrown.
It was a heated altercation between the two players but after just a few seconds, the altercation ended. However, according to Bengals beat reporter Kelsey Conway, there were four scuffles at Cincinnati's practice on Thursday.
"4 scuffles today at practice. The most recent was between Ted Karras and Germaine Pratt after Pratt drilled Andrei Iosivas over the middle."
It is interesting that the Bengals' training camp got that heated and had four altercations.
Bengals players call it one of the most intense camps ever
After Thursday's practice, several Cincinnati Bengals players spoke about the practice that saw them have four altercations.
Karras who was involved in the main one said fights don't give anyone an edge.
"Let me make this clear," Karras said after practice, via Bengals.com. "Fights don't give a training camp an edge... To me, edge is you're executing at a high level and showing up focused every day and being available and working your ass off trying to get better. Today, they were all appropriate fights. To me, seven fights in a practice is inappropriate."
Karras, however, believes it shows that everyone wants to win and be the best player they can be.
Linebacker Germaine Pratt, meanwhile, says this is one of the most intense training camps he's ever been a part of.
"I think this one of the most intense camps," said tone-setting linebacker Germaine Pratt, now in his sixth August. "Everyone is talking. Guys on offense have been in the system a long time. Guys on defense have been in the system a long time. We're ready to hit somebody else."
The Bengals are set to open the 2024 season at home on Sept. 8 against the New England Patriots.
