WATCH: Massive fight erupts on Seahawks sidelines as players throw punches at each other vs. Bills
Two Seattle Seahawks players starred in a controversial moment on the sideline. Linebacker Derick Hall and defensive tackle Jarran Reed were spotted on camera going at it, with the former even throwing a punch at his teammate's face. This was before other teammates and coaches got in their way.
The video shows Hall saying something to Reed, who quickly meets his teammate and they get entangled. Hall tried to throw a punch at Reed and instead grabbed his facemask.
That's when everybody stepped in and separated them. It's unclear what led to this moment, but both players were in a heated mood and they didn't mind getting physical with one another.
Derick Hall is playing his second NFL season after the Seahawks drafted him with the No. 37 overall pick last season, a pick that they received in the Russell Wilson trade to the Denver Broncos.
As for Reed, he's been in the league since 2016, having stops with the Seahawks, Chiefs and Packers before returning to Seattle.
The Seahawks returned to winning ways last week against the Atlanta Falcons with a 34-14 win. At the time of writing, they are trailing the Buffalo Bills 17-3 at halftime.
Josh Allen has thrown for 227 yards and two touchdowns, which could explain why two defensive players weren't understanding each other to the point of getting physical with one another.
"That's embarrassing" – NFL fans react to sideline fight between Seahawks players
After the video made the rounds in the NFL world, several fans reacted to it, with some calling out the players for putting themselves and their team in such a bad position.
"Oh damn, that's embarrassing," one fan said.
"The only fight they've shown today at least," another fan remarked.
"They’re just giving this game away. Two lost opportunities in the red zone, and that dumb late hit by Hall on Allen to give them a 1st down and now turned into a TD, just dumb football," another fan wrote.
A couple of them said that this was the effect of playing Josh Allen.
"This stuff happens when playing Josh Allen 😂," one fan said.
After going through several changes in the 2024 NFL offseason, the Seahawks had hopes of returning to the playoffs with a new coaching staff and new pieces on the roster. They have been inconsistent during the first seven weeks of the season and these issues won't help their case moving forward.
