WATCH: Matt LaFleur's outburst vs NFL referees as Packers trail 28-7
Matt LaFleur has 16 years of NFL coaching experience under his belt. However, as the Packers trailed at Lambeau Field, the coach couldn’t stop himself from showing his emotions. A catch by Romeo Doubs not being declared a touchdown flared the HC and set the events in motion.
The Green Bay Packers went behind early in the first quarter and tried to claw back into the game against the Minnesota Vikings. During the time of the incident, the visitors had scored two touchdowns each in the first two quarters while the Packers were unable to open the score. After the goal-line call, the Packers HC let himself go at the officials.
The 44-year-old rush the field, as he kept shouting and made hand gestures.
“Matt LaFleur appears to be irate on the sidelines.”
It was later said on the broadcast that Matt LaFleur had called for a timeout with only few seconds remaining in the second quarter. However, the referees missed the request. This coupled with his team trailing at home and a catch not being declared as a TD, saw LaFleur lose his cool.
The Packers went into halftime down 28-7.

Matt LaFleur rushed to the field in anger, throwing his headset away and shouting at the officials. This didn't go unpunished, though.
“Matt Lefleur garnered a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct after a goal-line call.”
The Packers were handed a 15-yard penalty for their head coach's outburst. However, this seemed to rally the team as it scored its first TD of the game from that position. QB Jordan Love combined with wide receiver Jayden Reed, to open the scoring for the Packers with only 15 seconds left in the quarter.
