WATCH: Michael Strahan's daughter Isabella celebrates after finishing final round of chemotherapy
Michael Strahan was a happy dad on Monday as his 20-year-old daughter, Isabella Strahan, completed her last round of chemotherapy in her fight against a brain tumor. The former Super Bowl winner shared his love and admiration for his daughter on this momentous day.
Strahan received a shock in October last year when his daughter Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumor. Upon completing her fourth and final chemotherapy session, the entire family celebrated along with the hospital staff. Strahan took to Instagram to share his joy as he captioned the video:
“@isabellastrahan you are a SUPERWOMAN! Ringing that bell finishing chemo and on your way! You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella.”
Isabella Strahan shed light on the entire process on YouTube:
“This [has been] a long journey but I made it. And now I have to recover and get back to my usual state, which is going to take a long time, but I'm done with treatments.”
Isabella Strahan still has a long way to go before achieving a complete recovery. However, by most accounts, the hardest part of her journey is over.
Michael Strahan was picked by the New York Giants in the second round of the 1993 NFL draft and played defensive end throughout his NFL career. The seven-time Pro Bowler made a name for himself after leaving the gridiron and picking up the mic through his television hosting career.
How many children does Michael Strahan have?
Michael Strahan has been married twice and engaged thrice. The ‘Good Morning America’ host has two children from his first marriage: a daughter, Tanita Strahan, and a son, Michael Anthony Strahan Jr.
From his second marriage with Jean Muggli, Michael Strahan has twin daughters, Isabella Strahan and Sophia Strahan. Since 2015, Michael Strahan has been dating entrepreneur Kayla Quick after breaking his engagement with Nicole Mitchell in 2014.
