WATCH: Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany throw stunning party for daughter Sterling Skye's third birthday
Life has been great for Patrick Mahomes lately. He and his family now reside in their eight-acre residence outside Bolton, Missouri. He invested some of his fortune in thriving businesses and sports teams. At 28, he is already a three-time champion after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory in Super Bowl 58.
Aside from celebrating his achievements, he and his wife threw a lavish party for their daughter’s third birthday. Sterling Skye’s parents shared an Instagram reel highlighting the event’s proceedings, from Sterling going down the slide to wearing angel wings and taking photos with her famous parents.
The final frame from the reel showed Brittany Mahomes hugging her two kids, Sterling and Patrick “Bronze” III. Pink dominated the party, from Sterling’s attire to the teacup-shaped souvenir cookies. Yes, there were butterflies on her special day.
On Instagram, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes announced they were expecting their first child in September 2020. Four months later, they welcomed Sterling Skye Mahomes to their family. Meanwhile, their second child, Patrick “Bronze” III, was born on November 28, 2022.
Also in attendance at the party are Jackson Mahomes, their mother, Randi Mahomes, and their half-sister, Mia Randall.
In an April 2023 Instagram post, Brittany Mahomes answered why they chose Sterling. It was initially for their second dog, but she refused because she wanted her daughter to carry that name.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs remain on top of the football world
Most football fans counted the Kansas City Chiefs out after struggling to generate points during the regular season. To quantify that claim, their points per game average dropped from 29.2 in 2022 to 21.8 a year later. Those woes had the Chiefs finishing the 2023 regular season at 11-6.
Despite that concern, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since the 2003-04 New England Patriots. They defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, with Mahomes winning Super Bowl MVP honors.
The former Texas Tech standout had two touchdowns in that game, including the game-winning pass to Mecole Hardman Jr. in overtime. Patrick Mahomes torched the 49ers defense with 34 completions for 333 passing yards and nine carries for 69 rushing yards.
That victory earned the Chiefs their third Super Bowl title in five seasons and fourth Lombardi Trophy in total. They will enter the 2024 NFL season with the opportunity to become the first team to win three straight Super Bowls.
Their title defense got a boost after the franchise signed defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to a contract extension. Likewise, head coach Andy Reid and Travis Kelce won’t be retiring despite the rumors that floated before Super 58.
